Weight loss surgery helps people with extreme obesity to lose weight. If you are unable to lose weight through diet and exercise or have serious health problems caused by obesity, the surgery might be a decisive option.

There are any people who have went through the surgery but have regained some weight afterwards. If you follow diet and exercise recommendations, you can keep most of the weight off. You will also need medical follow-up for the rest of your life.

MEDI TOUR and through the medical centers’ affiliates in Lebanon, Turkey, India and other countries, guides patients to find the right specialists for the suitable weight loss surgery/program.

The Programs

What are the surgical options?
Surgeons use three types of operations most often:

  • Laparoscopic adjustable gastric band
  • Gastric sleeve surgery, also called sleeve gastrectomy
  • Gastric bypass

Did You Know?

Gastric sleeve patients lose between 60 and 70 percent of their excess body weight within 12 to 18 months, on average. Gastric bypass surgery is generally recommended for very obese patients with a Body Mass Index over 45.
